EDI 861 Receiving Advice

The EDI 861 transaction set is an electronic version of a paper Receiving Advice/Acceptance Certificate that complies with the ANSI X12 EDI specification. It is used to report the receipt of shipments or as a formal acceptance of the goods and services and for third-party receiving, such as a drop-shipment. This transaction set reports back to the purchaser that a shipment has arrived at its final destination.
