Epicor Kinetic, Prophet 21, Eclipse, and other Epicor systems can import and export order, shipment, and invoice data for EDI, but on their own they do not translate that data into each trading partner's ANSI X12 or EDIFACT format or manage the trading partner connections. That takes an EDI provider. Epicor sells its own EDI products separately, and many Epicor customers choose an independent provider instead. Infocon Systems provides fully managed EDI for Epicor, translating each trading partner's EDI format into the sales orders, shipments, and invoices your Epicor system already uses.
EDI documents commonly automated with Epicor through Infocon Systems include the 850 Purchase Order, which is created in Epicor as a sales order, the 810 Invoice, the 856 Advance Ship Notice (ASN), the 855 Purchase Order Acknowledgment, the 860 Purchase Order Change, the 846 Inventory Advice, the 820 Payment Order and Remittance Advice, the 812 Credit and Debit Adjustment, and the 945 Warehouse Shipping Advice. Manufacturers on Epicor Kinetic and Epicor CMS also exchange the 830 Planning Schedule and the 862 Shipping Schedule with their customers.
