EDI 853

The EDI 853 document type is an electronic version of a paper Routing and Carrier Instruction that complies with the ANSI X12 EDI specification. An EDI 853 Routing and Carrier document is usually sent by a shipper to transmit the buyer of detailed routing and carrier information of the shipment. EDI 853 does not give the information about shipping event or provide shipping authorization.
